As an advocacy effort, this is an annual award that aims to recognize and reward excellence amongst education sector professionals. It serves to promote the nobility and legacy of good work done by individuals in the sector and also to galvanize broader interests amongst young educators across Africa.

Applications open on Oct 5 to commemorate the World Teachers Day each year and Prizes are awarded on Jan 24 in celebration of of the International Day of Education.
